主要从事茶树高产优质栽培等相关研究工作。

主持广东省自然科学基金面上项目“氮素对蜜兰香单丛茶主要品质成分生物合成的影响机制研究”、广东省农村科技特派员驻镇帮镇扶村工作项目“茶树优质高效栽培与茶叶优化加工技术推广应用”等科研项目10余项。

获得广东省农业技术推广奖一等奖、广东省电子信息行业科学技术奖一等奖、中国商业联合会科技奖二等奖、校级教学成果奖二等奖各1项。国家品种登记茶树新品种2个、授权发明专利10项、参与制定标准6项。指导学生获得第六届“广东省本科高校植物生产类专业毕业论文大赛”三等奖,全国“互联网+”“挑战杯”国金各1项,国家大学生创新创业训练项目2项,两支“三下乡”队伍获得省级“优秀团队”。
