On the morning of May 29th, the 22nd Graduate Student Congress of the School of Horticulture was held in the 224 lecture hall of the School of Horticulture. Ma Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Horticulture, Mr. Zhuang Biyun, Director of the Student Affairs Office of the School of Horticulture, and members of the Presidium of the Graduate Association of South China Agricultural University Wang Yuyuan, student Tan Zhiyu, member of the presidium of the postgraduate association of the School of Life Sciences, South China Agricultural University, counselors and teachers from the School of Horticulture and 32 representatives of the conference attended the meeting.

In order to implement the relevant requirements for epidemic prevention and control, 32 student representatives and on-site staff sat at intervals and wore masks throughout the process.

The meeting is divided into two parts: preparatory meeting and formal meeting. At 10:00 a.m., the preparatory meeting of the conference officially started, and the representatives reviewed the relevant work report on the preparation of the conference and the list of scrutineers and counters of the conference.

In the solemn national anthem, the official meeting kicked off. The meeting was chaired by Wang Manfei, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Horticulture and instructor of the graduate student union. Wang Yuyuan, member of the presidium of the postgraduate association of South China Agricultural University, and Tan Zhiyu, a member of the presidium of the postgraduate association of the School of Life Sciences, delivered speeches for the conference successively.

Yu Jinhui, member of the presidium of the 21st Research Association of the School of Horticulture, made a report on the work of the 21st Graduate Association to the participants. He reviewed the main work of the 21st Graduate Student Union in the past year, and at the same time put forward an outlook on the future development of the Graduate Student Union of the college. The school's development contribution should be powerful. Afterwards, the conference listened to and reviewed and approved the Work Report of the 21st Graduate Association of Horticulture College (Draft), the Constitution of the Graduate Association of South China Agricultural University College of Horticulture (Amendment), and the Twenty-second College of Horticulture College of South China Agricultural University Measures for the Election of the Second Graduate Student Congress (Draft).

After the candidates of the presidium members gave their speeches, the student representatives at the meeting solemnly voted to elect the members of the committee of the 22nd Graduate Association of the School of Horticulture and the members of the presidium of the 22nd Graduate Association of the College of Horticulture. Among them, five students, Quan Lu, Zhuang Yun, Wu Dongni, Ouyang Dan, and Peng Yunhan were elected as members of the 22nd Graduate Committee of the School of Horticulture, and three students, Wang Dandan, Wang Jinmiao and Xia Zhilei, were elected to the 22nd session of the School of Horticulture. Ma Qiang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art, delivered a speech. Secretary Ma fully affirmed the work of the Graduate Student Association in the past year and put forward several requirements for the new members of the Graduate Student Association. He hoped that the staff of the graduate student union should take firm ideals and beliefs and strengthen theoretical study as lifelong topics, and at the same time take continuous deepening of reforms and self-construction as the only way, continue to adhere to the purpose of serving students wholeheartedly, never forget the original intention, keep in mind the mission, A more high-spirited gesture greeted the party's 20th National Congress victory.

Zhang Yuxi, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Horticulture, read out the Decision on the Commendation of the Outstanding Graduate Students of the School of Horticulture in 2021-2022.

The newly elected member of the presidium of the 22nd Graduate Student Union of the School of Horticulture, on behalf of Wang Dandan, read the Decision on Appointing Comrade Wang Manfei as the Secretary General of the 22nd Graduate Student Union of the School of Horticulture. On behalf of Xia Zhilei, the members of the presidium of the 22nd Graduate Student Union of the School of Horticulture led the elected members to take the oath.

The conference ended successfully in the School Song of South China Agricultural University played and sung by the audience.
