On the morning of May 29, the 23rd Student Congress of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University was held in Conference Room 101C of the School of Horticulture. Ma Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Horticulture, Mr. Zhuang Biyun, Director of the Student Affairs Office of the School of Horticulture, Cai Yuan, member of the Presidium of the Student Union of South China Agricultural University, all counselors of the School of Horticulture and 35 conference representatives attended the conference.

The meeting is divided into two parts: preparatory meeting and formal meeting. At 9:00 in the morning, everything was ready, and the preparatory meeting began immediately. Delegates reviewed and approved the report on the preparatory work of the conference, the agenda of the conference, the list of the conference preparatory committee, the qualification review team, the members of the presidium and the secretary-general, the qualification review report of the representative, the general voter, scrutineer, total voter, count voter list, etc.

At 9:30 a.m., the formal meeting officially began with the solemn national anthem. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Yuxi, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college and instructor of the student union. Cai Yuan, a member of the presidium of the Student Union of South China Agricultural University, delivered a speech at the meeting, affirmed the efforts and achievements of the 18th Student Union of the School of Horticulture, and expressed his hopes and best wishes for the new Student Union.

Lin Xinyuan, a member of the presidium of the 18th Student Union of the School of Horticulture, made a report on the work of the 18th Student Union to the participants. He reviewed the main work of the 18th Student Union in the past year, and said that the 18th Student Union has been adhering to the purpose of serving students wholeheartedly, building and serving the majority of students, with ideals, responsibilities, achievements, and fresh sunshine. The organization has also demonstrated the power of youth in the case of the whole people's fight against the epidemic. At the same time, he put forward an outlook on the future development of the student union of the School of Horticulture, and hoped that the student union would unite the students to establish lofty ideals, strive to be a newcomer of the times, and contribute to the development of the school and college.

All student representatives reviewed and approved the revised draft of the Constitution of the Student Union of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University, and the Election Methods of the 23rd Student Congress of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University (Draft).

The conference elects the committee members of the 19th Student Union of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University and the presidium of the 19th Student Union of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University. Candidates for members of the presidium of the 19th Student Union gave debriefing speeches respectively. After the speech, the student representatives cast their votes seriously, fairly and justly under the guidance of the host. Mr. Liu Heyong, the chief voter of the conference, announced the election results on the spot. Seven students, Liu Zihui, Yang Zhonghang, Li Tianci, Su Ying, Lin Jiale, and Cheng Shihan, were elected as members of the 19th Student Union Committee of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University. Three students, Ou Xiaopan, Liu Wen, and Shen Xinyan, were elected as members of the 19th Student Union Presidium of the School of Horticulture, South China Agricultural University.

Ma Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Horticulture, delivered a speech. He said that since the establishment of the School of Horticulture Student Union, it has followed and implemented the Party's educational policy, promoted the all-round development of the students, paid close attention to the study and life of the students, and acted as a bridge and link between the school, teachers and students, and actively reflected the students' Comments, suggestions and requests. He expressed his gratitude and affirmation to the main staff of the 18th Student Union for their hard work and sincerity! At the same time, I hope that the staff of the new student union will continue to uphold the tenet of serving students wholeheartedly, take over the torch of responsibility, stay true to their original aspirations, keep in mind their mission, contribute their youthful strength to the development of the college, and take practical actions to welcome the party's 20 major victories convened.

Mr. Zhuang Biyun, director of the Student Affairs Office of the School of Horticulture, read out the Decision of the School of Horticulture on Recognizing the Excellent Department of Group Studies, Excellent Student Organization and Outstanding Student Backbone of the School of Horticulture in the 2021-2022 academic year.

The elected presidium members of the 19th Student Union took the oath under the leadership of Shen Xinyan. Finally, the 23rd Student Congress of the School of Horticulture came to a successful conclusion with the resounding singing of South China Agricultural University School Song! This year's flowers are more popular than last year's. It's a pity that next year's flowers will be better.
