On March 8, Professor Hu Guibing, Dean of the School of Horticulture, gave a lecture on ideology and politics to the students of the 2020 Ding Ying Innovation Class of Horticulture in Room 307, Building D, Building 5, on the topic of learning the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. 

First of all, Dean Hu made clear to the students the meaning of learning the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. In the past 100 years, the Communist Party of China has led the people to write a glorious preface to the times. The Communist Party of China has led the people to achieve the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects on the land of China. We are moving towards the second centenary goal with high spirits. Standing at the intersection of the times, we should fully study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee, and practice the original mission of horticultural students in the new era.

 Based on the overview of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the content of the meeting communique, Dean Hu led the students to review the 100-year glorious history of the Communist Party of China. Based on the current international situation and the Russian-Ukrainian issue as the background, Dean Hu discussed the contents of the plenary communique with the students. He emphasized that we must firmly grasp the dominance and initiative of cross-strait relations in our country and build a community with a shared future for mankind. Become a clear banner leading the trend of the times and the direction of mankind. my country's diplomacy has created a new situation in the world's great changes, and turned crises into opportunities in the chaotic world. my country's international influence, charisma, and shaping power have been significantly improved.

Finally, Dean Hu said that on the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the founding of Huanong University, our school has entered the ranks of double first-class universities, but there is still a gap with world-class universities. We must study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech and The spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session focuses on six precise grasps, and earnestly learns the spirit of the Plenary Session thoroughly and achieves results. At the same time, as a part of Huanong, we must regard strengthening and revitalizing agriculture as our responsibility, pay attention to agricultural development, help rural revitalization, and do practical things for the masses and contribute to agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

   The students who participated in the first lesson of ideology and politics all said: This course combines the spirit of the plenary session with our study and life. Dean Hu explained the glorious history of the Communist Party of China with simple explanations and made us more deeply aware of it. The significance of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee, as horticultural students, we must work harder to learn cultural knowledge, master professional skills, and down-to-earth contribute to the prosperity and development of the motherland.
