Warm people's hearts in spring|The College of Horticulture launches a series of condolences activities for students studying in the Spring Festival

On February 11, New Year's Eve, it was fine after the rain. The College of Horticulture held a 2021 Spring Festival student representative symposium in the college’s 101B conference room. Dean Hu Guibing, Vice Dean Wu Zhenxian, Vice Dean Liu Shaoqun and more than a dozen representatives of overseas students gathered together to talk about the Spring Festival.

At the symposium, the leaders of the college first thanked the students who stayed in school for actively responding to the call of the country to celebrate the New Year on the spot, thanked the students for cooperating with the school's epidemic prevention work, and extended New Year blessings to all the students and their relatives and friends. The leaders of the college urged students to pay attention to laboratory safety, personal and property safety, and contact their families more. They encouraged them to seize the precious time of winter vacation, do experiments with peace of mind, recharge themselves, and have a safe, peaceful and meaningful winter vacation. The students present all talked about their feelings about staying in the school and staying in Guangzhou, sharing the holiday arrangements and recent interesting events, thanking the college for their care.

Subsequently, the leaders of the college gave out the Spring Festival red envelopes to the students and wrote Spring Festival couplets together. The students splashed ink to express their good expectations for the New Year. There were cheers and laughter, and the atmosphere was enthusiastic. Newly posted Spring Festival couplets were seen everywhere in the courtyard.

It is reported that since entering the winter vacation, the College of Horticulture has formulated a service management plan for students staying in school according to the school's work requirements and combined with the actual situation of the college, and arranged special personnel to do the relevant work.

The party and government leaders of the college went to the student dormitories and laboratories to visit the students in the school. The graduate tutors organized various forms of teachers’ New Year’s Eve dinners, the counselors organized the distribution of free meal coupons and herbal tea during the Spring Festival, and opened meeting rooms for students to watch. The Spring Festival Gala, let the students in school feel the warmth of home, and spend a peaceful and happy year together.
