Our College Successfully Held the 2020 Special Online Video Job Fair for Agricultural Science and Biology in South China Agricultural University

The 2020 South China Agricultural University Agricultural and Biological Special Online Video Recruitment Meeting, co-sponsored by College of Agriculture, College of Resources and Environment and College of Life Sciences, was successfully held on May 7. This job fair attracted more than 100 companies to recruit, and more than 1,200 job seekers participated in the job interview.

Every spring is a golden period for students to apply for a job. Affected by the new pneumonia epidemic, some students are facing challenges in this year's job search, and the annual offline spring recruitment fair is suspended. To this end, the College of Horticulture focused on the actual situation, pinpointed the work force and breakthrough point, innovated the recruitment model, and actively transferred the main position of student employment from offline to the online, actively exploring the organization of online recruitment fairs. In this online video job fair, many students and employers reached a preliminary employment intention. In the early stage of this job fair, the college published event information through multiple online platforms such as the official website, WeChat public platform, and Weibo, so as to find more job seekers through multiple channels, which increased the participation of the job fair. In addition, the college has repeatedly released information on corporate recruitment positions, to achieve the dual effect of helping companies attract talents and expanding the company's popularity among students.

The online video job fair realized the collaboration of multiple colleges, expanded the coverage of the event, and effectively reduced the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, provided high-quality job opportunities for students who are going to be employed, and delivered excellent talents to the development of agricultural and biological industries.
