TheResearch Center for Genetics and Variety Improvement in Vegetable Crops wasestablished in 2004. We have seven researchers and two research assistants.Normally, we have around 15 postgraduate students and visiting scientists. Thethree major areas of research are Vegetable genetics and breeding applications,Vegetable germplasm resources and Genetic analysis of important traits. Ourresearch projects are mainly from National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC), China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Guangdong provincial government. Inthe recent five years, we have published more than 20 journal articles in PNAS,Scientific Reports, PLoS One, Euphytica, Mol. Breed., Plant Molecular BiologyReporter, Crop Sci., and so on.
