The department of Protected Agriculture Science andEngineer is established in 2007. The facultymembers emphasize a range of research areas in protectedhorticulture, including horticultural cropphysiology and molecular biology, soil-less cultivation, plant factory etc. Thedepartment offers undergraduate program of Protected Agriculture Science andEngineer, and offers research-centered advanced degrees including Master of Agronomy (in fieldof vegetable science and protected horticulture) and Doctor of Agronomy (infield of vegetable science). Students graduate with the qualitative andquantitative skills necessary for professional research and teaching in one ormore of the following areas: the production, management and utilization ofprotected horticultural plants.
